Talking "Hi! I am collecting Char intestines!"

A while ago, I found this comic amusing. Now, however, I think about it in relation to Guild Wars. Some collectors collect scales or carapces; those items can be used to craft something. Yet who in their sane mind would collect Worn Belts? Spider Legs? Skeleton Hands? What explanation would you give to it?

Could they be like that one crazy old lady that you can never seem to get away from even though you do not know her at all. She is constantly at the grocery store looking for the perfect cart or at church staring at the sunday brunch food. And if you were to go over to her house you would see her insane amount of cats that every time they see the light they freak out and start biting their tails and scratch the walls or even if you were to go in her basement you would see her outragious collection of odds and ends that NOBODY IN THEIR RIGHT MIND would ever have more than one of but NOOOOOOO she has atleast 50 of each thing.
